Meet Natalie
Master Energy Healer | Somatic Arts Practitioner | Holistic Wellness Guide
I am a mom of two, an infinite student of life, and an ever-evolving soul (who seems to first directly school myself in the lessons that I eventually teach!).
It is my purest passion to teach others that healing is possible and to create intentional spaces to connect deeply within, find meaning and expansion through our daily experiences and challenges, and remember our wholeness and divine essence.
My work offers a safe and supportive space for deep inner inquiry and discovering the roots beneath physical expressions from the body so that they can be addressed through the multiple layers of our being - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
My work truly comes from the depths of my heart and soul, being born of my own direct experience and wisdom in healing from severe auto-immune disease, as I share below.
Natalie's Story
I have been there.
Amidst pain and prolonged discomfort that I didn't know the human body or mind could withstand, amidst the confusion and discouragement of feeling like I didn't have the answers or means towards healing that I was looking for, and amidst resilience that I didn't know I had access to.
But let's rewind a little (...or a lot).
As a sensitive and particularly "spirited" child (as my mom would say), I often didn't feel as though I fit in. Still, I did well in school, was esteemed in my post-secondary education and former career choice as a CPA, CA (which fits so interestingly with my current realm of service), and had secured a long-term relationship in my late teens that continued into my thirties.
I was doing all the things I thought I should be doing to be happy and successful, and it really did all look great from the outside - yet I started experiencing issues with my physical health in my late teens.
After weeks of unexplained high fevers, many tests, and rooms full of doctors and medical specialists with more letters and accolades than I could name, I was given a working diagnosis of Adult Onset Stills Disease (or Stills Disease), a rare auto-immune disease similar to Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Throughout my twenties, I went through periods where my symptoms would be relatively dormant (whether I was medicated or not), and then periods where symptoms would "flare up."
These flares were quite intense and debilitating, comprising of a mix of symptoms that seemed to get progressively stronger (or rather *louder*) each time.
With each flare, I experienced weeks of fevers, anemia, fatigue, and joint pain that would restrict my movement. During the many flares throughout my twenties and early thirties, I also experienced bouts of meningitis, pericarditis, kidney failure, difficulty breathing, severe nerve pain, and neutropenia, and was hospitalized several times as a result.
During these times, I reluctantly relied on pharmaceutical drugs to help manage the pain and other symptoms. I received blood transfusions and endured bone marrow biopsies and countless pokes and scans. I was told there was no "cure" or way to heal these symptoms, and often times the medical system couldn't explain what was happening or why.
My most serious flare in 2020 (during which I was hospitalized for almost 3 weeks and feared for my life) is what catalyzed the start of the healing journey which transformed my entire life and state of being.
Throughout this journey, I sought out as many alternative and holistic health practices as I could, continuously searching for the root cause behind my experiences and the corresponding means towards healing. Some helped, if only for a while, but I still continued to experience symptoms and the frustration that came along with them.
Finally, I found the modalities of energy healing and other cognitive-somatic energy practices. I was introduced to the idea that:
Our emotional patterns, subconscious belief systems, and the energetics within and around us can have great impact on our health (including the physical manifestation of dis-ease), state of being, and how we experience life.
Once I came to understand how we can process and shift these cognitively, somatically, and energetically, I was instantly drawn to these tools and modalities.
I experienced the benefits firsthand - not only with the physical healing I sought out to experience, but with how I felt emotionally and how I processed and experienced life. All of this while embarking on one of the biggest healing journeys of all – that of 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱. My children happen to be quite sensitive and “spirited” themselves (they got it from their mama) and my firstborn in particular has been one of the most profound catalysts in my healing.
I have experienced the invitations for expansion and healing that come up (often in the form of undesirable experiences) through this journey. These modalities and practices have helped me de-layer experiences and parts of myself that I didn’t know I had been carrying, re-gain a connection to myself that I didn’t know I had lost, completely transform my relationship with my body and overall self, and re-align my life in a way I wouldn’t have dreamed of. I would love nothing more than to share this with you.
And so, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗺 was born. My hope for this space is to offer the belief that healing is possible; to create a container for you in your healing journey and - even more so - in your journey back home to yourself; to share the perspectives, practices, tools, and resources I have learned throughout my experience; and to create a community for like-hearted and like-souled humans to support and be supported within this journey.
Whether you experience physical symptoms or dis-ease, are on a healing journey, or are just drawn to reaching out based on a felt resonance with parts of my story (hint: it may be for a reason!), I would absolutely love to connect further with you.
